Draft for legal review. This document must be reviewed and approved by Higienista Oral's legal adviser before publication.
Higienista Oral provides you with this Privacy Notice in compliance with Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013, before collecting your personal data through this website, WhatsApp, email or telephone.
It is a summary. The full information is set out in the Personal Data Processing Policy, available on this same site.
This is a convenience translation. The Spanish version is the binding text.

2. Processing and purposes
Higienista Oral collects, stores, uses, circulates internally and deletes your identification and contact data — name, identity document, telephone, email and city — together with the scheduling details you provide, for the following purposes:
- to manage, confirm, reschedule or cancel your assessment appointment request;
- to contact you by telephone, WhatsApp or email;
- to send you appointment reminders;
- to handle questions, complaints, suggestions and requests;
- to meet accounting, tax and invoicing obligations once a service has been provided;

We do not sell or pass on your data to third parties for commercial purposes.
3. Sensitive data: answering is optional
Health-related data are sensitive data under article 5 of Law 1581 of 2012, and processing them requires the data subject's explicit authorisation.
We therefore expressly inform you that answering questions that relate to sensitive data is optional: you are not obliged to authorise their processing or to provide them.
No activity of Higienista Oral is conditional on your providing sensitive personal data. You can request an assessment appointment giving only your name and a contact detail, without describing your reason for consulting.
The same applies to data concerning children and adolescents, which is processed only with the authorisation of a parent or legal guardian and in their best interests.
4. Your rights as a data subject
You have the right to know, update and correct your personal data; to ask for it to be deleted where appropriate; to withdraw the authorisation given; to request proof of that authorisation; to be informed of the use made of your data; to decline to answer questions about sensitive data; and to file a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, once you have exhausted the enquiry or claim procedure with Higienista Oral.
To exercise these rights, write to penaerika4872@gmail.com with "Protección de datos personales" in the subject line, or call 0312 4869987. The Patient Care team handles these requests: enquiries within a maximum of ten (10) business days and claims within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days, on the terms and with the extensions provided for by law.
5. How to read the Processing Policy and its changes
Higienista Oral's Personal Data Processing Policy — setting out the purposes in detail, the rights of the data subject, the full enquiry and claim procedure and the retention period of the databases — is permanently published in the data protection section of this website.
You may also request a copy:
- by email to penaerika4872@gmail.com;
- by telephone on 0312 4869987.
Any substantial change to the policy will be published on this website and communicated to data subjects before it takes effect.
6. Scope and effective date
This notice covers the data you give us through remote channels and at reception for scheduling and invoicing. It does not cover the clinical record (historia clínica) or the data arising from dental care: for that data, authorisation is obtained in person and in writing at the practice, under a separate notice, in accordance with the special rules on clinical records and professional confidentiality.
Effective date: 2026-09-19.
